Areas of responsibility

The Institute of Public International Law, Air Law and International Relations offers courses for students of the faculty of law, as part of the diploma degree programme as well as the doctorate degree programme. In addition thereto, the Institute contributes to the programmes Transformation Studies Art x Science and Master's Degree in Legal and Business Aspects in Technics. Our staff supervises academic works such as diploma theses and dissertations. The set of courses which forms the branch of specialisation “International Law” is offered in collaboration with the Institute of European Law. The part provided for by our institute allows students to gain broader knowledge in various fields of Public International Law. These courses comprise inter alia international economic law, air and space law, and international humanitarian law.

The Institute’s research activities cover the areas of general international law and international organisations, with a particular focus on Air Law and International Humanitarian Law.
