Univ. Prof. Dr. Ing. Marco Da Silva and Univ. Prof. Frans Mulder, PhD, provided insight into their respective areas of research.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Ing. Marco Da Silva (Institute of Electrical Measurement) held his inaugural lecture titled "Multidimensional Measurement Technology for Industrial Process Monitoring, opens a file" and spoke about industry’s challenges on account of ongoing digitalization. He explained why measurement and sensor technology plays a key role in this area and, when it comes to production operations, the extent to which it serves as the main source of information.

Univ. Prof. Frans Mulder, PhD (Institute of Biochemistry) held his inaugural lecture titled "Puzzles of Molecular Structure and Dynamics", opens a file. Biochemistry focuses on discovering and describing chemical and physical processes in living organisms and how they interact with their environment. Mulder spoke about how research and education at his institute focuses on a quantitative understanding of proteins on a molecular scale.
