Floor closure on the 1st floor from 10 to 22 April 2025
Starting on Thursday, 10 April up to and including Tuesday, 22 April 2025, the entire 1st floor of the Juridicum Library will unfortunately not be available for use. This affects the departments of Criminal Law, University Law, Romance Studies (formerly European Legal History) and Legal Gender Studies, including the printed journal collections.
Extensive and very noisy drilling work is taking place, and the literature holdings, which are concealed for protection, are not accessible. Order requests can therefore not be fulfilled and reading is also not possible. The noise will also be audible on the other floors. Therefore, please choose a reading place in the main library or in the Learning Centre and use our online resources.
The Juridicum will be thermally renovated since January 2025 until around March 2026 and there will be restrictions on the use of the library. In particular, noise is to be expected and there will be reductions in opening hours during the construction period. Closing days may also be necessary. We will try to minimize the inconvenience as much as possible and will inform you of any changes as soon as possible on the homepage and by posting notices. Please use our digital services and alternative learning spaces on the JKU campus, e.g. Main Library and Learning Center.
