Which content can OA articles be published?
In subscription journals with an OA publishing option (= hybrid), as well as gold open access journals.
 

What types of articles will be accepted?
All articles subject to a peer review process.

Which licenses are available?
CC-BY 4.0, CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0.

Which authors will be accepted?
Corresponding authors affiliated with JKU at the time of acceptance.

How are the authors identified?
By specifying the institution (JKU) and the e-mail domain.

Are FWF articles covered?
Yes, for now up until the end of 2024 - license renewal will be negotiated.

Are authors subject to any costs or fees?
No. There is no charge for open access publishing in hybrid or gold open access journals.

What is the workflow process for authors?
Once accepted, eligible authors can view the author dashboard to select whether or not they would like to publish Open Access. If authors choose the OA route, the library will then receive the application to review and confirm.

Please note: Fees for articles exceeding the specified length and/or color illustrations will not be covered!
