The Main Campus Library is not only a place for books and resources, many students enjoying working and studying at the library, too.
We have worked to create just the right environment that not only fits your personal way of studying and finding materials, but also provides just the right study space while you are at the library.
The Learning Center
Centrally located on campus, the Learning Center is a new space that gives students an opportunity to work and study together. When working on group projects, students can use the space to openly discuss and debate their work.
Study groups can use the open area, or one of three glass cubicles available for group work; glass cubicles can be reserved for study groups of 4+ by form, or at the Circulation Desk on the ground floor.
The 1st and 2nd floors have additional spaces for meetings and study groups of various group sizes.
The Reading Area at the Main Campus Library
In between the book shelves on the 1st and 2nd floors there are a number of comfortable, more quiet work areas where you can focus and concentrate on what you are doing.
The rule of thumb in these areas is: " ... Shhh! Please be quiet and considerate of others!"
There are also two individual study rooms available on the second floor however, these rooms cannot be reserved in advance.
Reading Areas at Other JKU Libraries
You can also find spaces to study at the Juridicum Law Library on campus, at the Faculty of Medicine library on the MED Campus, or at one of the subject-area libraries on campus.
The 24/7 Study Zone
Night owls can take advantage of the 24/7 Study Zone located on the ground floor by the entrance area to the Main Campus Library. The 24/7 Study Zone is only open and accessible to JKU employees and JKU students.
