Together with Daniela Schrack (Institute of Corporate and Regional Environmental Management and Institute for Integrated Quality Design) and Dorothea Greiling (Institute of Management Accounting), Albert Traxler (Institute of Management Accounting) has published a literature review on sustainability reporting and management control in the Journal of Cleaner Production entitled

“Sustainability reporting and management control – A systematic exploratory literature review?” 

While a broad agreement exists that for a good progress towards corporate sustainability an interlinking of sustainability reporting and control is needed, literature investigating this interplay is still at an early stage. The review identifies and clusters the relevant literature in this field and thereby demonstrates different ways of linking reporting and control that are going beyond the financial bottom line.
