Since 2010, Silke Müller has worked in Linz as a freelance illustrator for newspapers, magazines and exhibitions, as well as creating posters. She often works for cultural initiatives and NGOs. Her illustrations focus on ecological, social and socio-political topics.

She studied visual communication at Bauhaus University in Weimar, followed by communication design in Wismar. She graduated in 2008 with an exhibition of illustrations and a radio feature. She was artist in residence in Klaipėda/Lithuania and Monnickendam/Netherlands.

Together with the author Stefan Roiss, she was presented with a first place award for the graphic story "Hafen" ("Harbor") during a 2013 literary competition organized by the Graz Academy.
