The Johannes Kepler University (JKU) and the LIT Open Innovation Center along with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, opens an external URL in a new window and its Start-Up Center are hosting this year's conference..

The ECN is an interdisciplinary network of 28 universities across Austria and aims to support entrepreneurial thinking and action at a university level. All of the partners meet annually in person to discuss corresponding entrepreneurship and start-up topics in the higher education landscape and learn from (inter)national best practices.

This year, for example, the guests can expect input regarding entrepreneurship education by Univ. Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Berger (Institute for Entrepreneurship, JKU Linz) and Dr. Markus Wartiovaara (Director of the Hanken Business Lab, Hanken University). In addition, the conference will actively address the topic of spin-off companies and creating them. At the beginning of the conference, the program will include a 'community block' in which the start-up community in Linz will introduce itself to the network, thereby providing space to share experiences and network.
