As part of a course titled "Rechtsdurchsetzung" offered at the JKU, students joined Prof. Walter Summersberger (Institute for Financial Law. Tax Law, and Tax Policy) to pay a visit to the Federal Fiscal Court. Johann Fischerlehner, head of the court in Linz, spent considerable time introducing the students to the area of fiscal jurisdiction. Following the meeting, students from the JKU had the opportunity to attend an oral hearing (on sales tax interest) presided over by Fischerlehner as a single judge.

Summersberger emphasized the importance of introducing students to legal practices early in their studies and added: "I believe that the students had a valuable experience taking a look at court practices; it was very interesting. Tomorrow our colleague, Mathis Fister, will join the students on another excursion,"
