Medical specialists actively conducting research at university hospitals and clinical institutes at the JKU MED who are not (or no longer) a direct target group for the Linz Clinician Scientist Program (A/CSP) can once again apply for the 2024 KMA Specialist Physician Call for a funded leave of absence to conduct research and/or to teach.
The KMA Medical Specialist Call is directed at medical specialists actively conducting research at university hospitals and clinical institutes at the JKU MED, in particular
- those who have successfully completed habilitation/post-doc, or after successfully taking part in ACSP, or
- medical specialists actively conducting research after having successfully acquired external funding and having published.
The Call's application deadline is March 17, 2024. Send an e-mail to: kma(at)jku.at to request the application guidelines and the required application documents:

The submitted application documents (description/summary of the intended research project/study, a CV including a publication list and acquired external funding over the past 5 years) will be reviewed and evaluated based on the defined criteria. If accepted, physicians will be assigned research and lecturing responsibilities at the JKU and will actively take part in building the young Faculty of Medicine.
