The SeedplusMED call "Personalized Technical Medicine" is intended to promote the establishment of interdisciplinary research collaborations between MED and TNF as well as within MED with a special focus. The following goals will be pursued:
- The further development of targeted cutting-edge medicine and research in jointly identified, interdisciplinary research fields in the focus area of Personalised Technical Medicine and
- the development of individualised prevention, diagnosis and therapy methods tailored to patients through a translational research approach for the rapid integration of basic research into clinical application.
- Possible fields of application include biosensor technology, biosignal analysis, biomechanics, telemonitoring, health data analytics and robotics.
Eligibility: All employees of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences employed at the JKU as well as physicians from university clinics/(clinical) institutes/(clinical) departments who have completed a doctoral degree, PhD or Dr. scient. med. and are authorised to apply in accordance with §29 UG para. 9.
The funding amount is EUR 350,000 for a project duration of up to three years.
The Call is open for submission until the 16th of April 2025, 3pm.
Parallel submission of the same project in the 14th LIT Call in the SeedplusMED funding programme is excluded.
