Do plastics and the concept of sustainability contradict each other? What does robotics mean? How do I create my own business? Young scientists between the ages of six and fourteen will explore and address these questions and more as part of the “Young Kepler Uni” program. The program will take place on three Saturdays in November (6/13/20) and give kids and teens a taste of student life at the JKU.

JKU Rector Meinhard Lukas remarked: "In addition to our second annual JKU Science Holidays program from this past summer, the “Young Kepler Uni” program is an additional top-quality, accessible program for children to delve into the world of science for the first time. Thanks to funding provided by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and the state of Upper Austria, we can offer this program completely free of charge. I hope many children will take advantage of the program and come to the JKU in November."

Covid-19 Safety Protocols and Mandates:

Due to the low rate of infection in Upper Austria at the moment, we strongly believe the Young Kepler Uni program will take place in November. All Covid-19 safety protocols and mandates in place (as outlined by the federal government and the state of Upper Austria at the start of the program - i.e. mandatory face covering and adherence to the Austrian “3G Rule” (vaccinated, tested, recovered) will apply.
