On February 1st, the final presentations of the Master Seminar “Interdisciplinary Business Project” of JKU´s Master Program “Management” took place at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz.
The seminar is a cooperative teaching format of the Institute for Retailing, Sales and Marketing, the Institute for Strategic Management, the Institute for International Management and the Institute of Leadership and Change Management. Four cooperation partners (voestalpine Steel Division, Greiner AG, Fronius International GmbH and KEBA AG) participated in the seminar and did not only provide topics to the students, but also offered practice-oriented supervision.
The students successfully managed to present their solutions of practical marketing and strategy problems in B2B markets.
This semester the students presented the following topics:
The Fronius student team highlighted their results on “Sustainable innovation”, whereas the Keba groups gave insights into the results of their topics “A roadmap for digital business model success” and “Sensemaking”. The Greiner groups dealt with the topic “Enhancing organizational ambidexterity” and “Which business model matters for MATR”. The voestalpine student groups presented results on “Attract - Select - Keep” and “Developing a rebranding strategy: TransAnt´s journey”. Last but not least the voestalpine/Fronius group presented the topic “Circular economy in the automotive industry”.
A guided tour of the Raiffeisen Arena after the presentations enhanced the overall event experience. The evening continued with a dinner, where students and supervisors engaged in conversations in an sociable atmosphere.
Congrats to our students, well done! We are looking forward to the next IBP!
