The ceremony took place as part of the JKU medCIRCLE, a cross-generational networking initiative.
The JKU medCIRCLE is a networking opportunity for physicians across generations in which a younger generation can learn from an older generation's experience and expertise, often extending beyond specialized studies. Former laboratory physician MR Dr. Herbert Stekel, for example, shared interesting insight into advances in laboratory diagnostics.
As part of the occasion, JKU Vice-Rector Elgin Drda and the Faculty of Medicine's deans, Prof. Bernd Lamprecht and Prof. Wolfram Hötzenecker, presented five Clinician Scientist Program (CSP) graduates with their certificates:

The Linz Clinician Scientist Program (CPS) is an innovative initiative designed to provide medical practitioners at the Kepler University Hospital with the time and space they need to conduct academic research and teach, as well as conduct their daily clinical activities. Junior KUK physicians at the start of their academic career who are interested in conducting research and earning a doctorate degree in Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine can apply to be a part of the Clinician Scientist Program (CSP).
The Advanced Clinician Scientist Program (ACSP) is a special qualification program to support medical experts at KUK who have completed their doctoral studies in Medical Sciences, or who hold comparable qualifications, and seek to earn a habilitation/post-doc at the JKU Faculty of Medicine.
