Have you ever experienced 'reverse writer’s block', meaning instead of blanking out, everything in your head suddenly becomes clear and you can't get the words and ideas down fast enough? Whether you are in class or writing a major paper, academic writing is part of earning an academic degree.

The JKU would like to extend an invitation to students to attend the Long Night of Writing. You can:

  • get lots of useful tips and suggestions to help your approach to writing your academic paper, the rules on using AI, etc.
  • take exercise classes to help relax your mind and ease any back tension
  • enjoy free coffee and healthy refreshments to keep you fresh and alert
  • have a looooong time to write: from 5.30 PM - 6.00 AM!

We can accommodate up to 150 students so be among the first to get there! It's first come, first served.

Using AI to Support Finding Resources for Papers

Learn more about finding materials and resources - both with and without AI support - as well as how generative AI models work. We will also discuss the fundamentals of prompt engineering, the criteria to select and use generative AI models, and the issue of sustainability within the context of AI.

Juggling & Coordination Activities (Beginners)

Juggling improves hand-eye coordination, helping reduce stress levels. This workshop for beginners focuses on using balls to learn a variety of juggling and coordination exercises to do alone, or in pairs, and even learn how to juggle three balls.

This exercise class is especially for those who tend to sit a lot! Pilates and back strengthening exercises relieve tension, improve posture, and strengthen core muscles - ideal for those who sit a lot while studying.
