Open postdoc position (40h, 6 years)
 

in the field of Operations Research/Prescriptive Analytics at the Institute of Production and Logistics Management.

We are looking for someone to join our research group with expertise in Prescriptive Analytics, at the interface of analytics and optimization with applications in production, logistics and supply chain management.

What you should bring:

  • Completed doctorate/PhD degree in the field of Operations Research/Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or Artificial Intelligence (in terms of content)
  • Own research work in Operations Research/Prescriptive Analytics, in particular exact methods for combinatorial optimization problems (e.g., vehicle routing, passenger transport, production planning and scheduling, supply chain network design, etc.).
  • Experience in teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in Operations Research, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Excellent programming skills (C/C++/Julia/Python)
  • Publication record appropriate to academic age
  • Very good written and spoken English (level C1) (knowledge of German is not essential)
