Knowledge in Society.

In times of 'fake news', universities face an important role and responsibility; as part of the university's 'third mission', the JKU seeks to share knowledge with society and spark discussion and debate based on different perspectives.

The JKU is Austria's only university to offer two knowledge transfer facilities: the Kepler Salon located in the heart of Linz, and the JKU Circus of Knowledge, located directly on campus. Both facilities are part of the JKU Department of Artistic Knowledge Transfer, focusing on social discourse as well as outreach to children and teens.
