Junior researchers at the Johannes Kepler University Linz are excelling in their fields.
Be it medicine, business, law, engineering or natural sciences, junior researchers at the Johannes Kepler University Linz excel in their respective fields. The JKU Young Researchers' Award was presented to 24 particularly deserving junior scientists.
Accompanied with a cash amount, the JKU Young Researchers’ Award are designed to showcase particularly outstanding and engaged scholars at the start of their respective academic careers. All of the award winners are new to academia and passed their oral defense no less than two years ago. Five awards were presented to scholars in business and social sciences, two awards to medical scholars, and 16 awards to scholars in engineering and natural sciences, and one award in law.
Alberta Bonanni, JKU Vice-Rector for Research, Gender & Diversity, remarked: "During a time of multiple crises, sparking an interest in science among young people is essential. The enthusiasm, expertise and commitment that our junior researchers demonstrate in their work is impressive. I am confident that this generation of scholars and academics will provide numerous solutions to the current challenges we face. In this regard, I am pleased to honor some of these outstanding achievements today." Prof. Bonanni would also like to thank the sponsors: "We would not have been able to bestow these awards in this way without the generous support and contributions by the Raiffeisen, SCWP, Siemens, and voestalpine Stahl."
