International Day of Women and Girls in Science was an opportunity to organize a FemMED get-together.
As part of the FemMED meeting, “Women in Science - Strong Together”, female researchers from the JKU’s Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences and the JKU’s Faculty of Medicine came together to connect and brainstorm interdisciplinary research concepts.
Once participants learned more about upcoming interdisciplinary calls for research proposals, they formed small groups to share information on their own research, connect with new people, and pinpoint ideas which could potentially result in joint research projects.
The discussions paved the way towards promising interdisciplinary partnerships and underscored the point: We are stronger together!
