On April 4 & 5, over 1,800 visitors were at the JKU’s Kepler Hall on campus to learn more about the university’s academic degree programs.

This year’s new, two-day Open House format was an opportunity for prospective students to conduct hands-on experiments, listen to presentations, take a campus tour, and meet with faculty members face-to-face! The JKU opened its campus doors on April 4 (between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), and April 5 (between 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) to offer prospective students a diverse program of information and other activities.
The study assessment tests proved particularly popular, with over 600 people taking part. On both days, over 1,000 guests took part in the campus tours, including a special tour of the JKU’s special “LIT Factory - Pilot Factory for the Plastics Cycle and Digital Transformation”. Those unable to attend on-site – namely over 3,000 prospective students - were still able to be present at the JKU on April 4 (between 9.30 AM and 3.00 PM) by means of an Instagram livestream.
Prospective students had an opportunity to learn more about the JKU’s over 100 academic degree programs and post-graduate programs offered at four faculties and at several Schools, ranging from engineering, life sciences, social sciences, and business to education, law and medicine. The annual JKU Open House takes place in the spring, giving graduating high school students and prospective students an opportunity to learn more about the university, its programs, services, advice on what to best study, as well as a taste of university life, and initial contact to professors and students.
