After a lengthy hiatus, the JKU returns to the ballroom floor in 2024 for a special kind of university ball: for one (summer) night, the JKU campus will turn into a grand ballroom! Under the motto "Dance the Kepler", the JKU would like to extend an invitation to its students, employees, partners, friends, and all ballroom enthusiasts, to enjoy a glittering ball night that will bring science, academia, dancing, and entertainment together.

JKU Rector Stefan Koch remarked: "We live in times of change that demand new ideas not only in science, business, but also when it comes to festivities and celebrating! In this regard, the JKU intends to introduce a new chapter in its ball history and would like to extend an invitation to attend the first Summer Ball right here at the JKU! We look forward to welcoming countless guests."

The Program & Pre-Sale Tickets

Visitors can look forward to a festive and entertaining program at the JKU! Doors open at 7.30 PM and the traditional opening ceremony will take place at 8.30 PM. Afterwards, there will be music, dancing, and a show. The ever-popular "Your Prof is your DJ" is back, bringing students and professors together on the dance floor. It is sure to be a memorable night full of music and fun as JKU professors spin tunes that will get the dance floor moving!
