JKU Young Chemistry Scientists.

How do you make a frisbee out of recycled bottle caps? What can you print using a 3D printer? Dive into the colorful world of chemists and learn all about polymer materials, the latest inventions, and sustainable recycling.

As part of the JKU Young Chemistry Scientists program, you will meet internationally renowned researchers and experts. During the workshop sessions, you not only learn from them, you also find out more about prospective careers and degree programs.

As a JKU Young Scientist, we also offer a unique opportunity to complete a summer internship at the JKU or at a well-known company in Upper Austria.

Summer Internship

Those who attend at the 6 scheduled workshops are eligible to apply for a paid summer internship at a renowned industrial company in Upper Austrian or at the Johannes Kepler University during the summer of 2025. It is, however, up to the individual companies and institutes to decide which intern will be accepted. Participation in the program does not automatically guarantee an internship position.

We would like to thank our cooperation partners for supporting the JKU Young Chemistry Scientists program in 2024/25:

Please note!

When signing up, please indicate if you are interested in a summer internship. You will be notified regarding additional information about available internship positions.
