Film Screening
This U.S. documentary titled "Picture A Scientist" (2020) focuses on issues such as discrimination, sexism and racism in the scientific community, taking women scholars in the natural sciences as an example.

Discussions with Experts
A discussion with experts will follow, addressing the position of women in STEM subject areas at the JKU. The panelists include:

  • Gabriele Kotsis (Prof. for Computer Science, Institute of Telecooperation)
  • Michaela Schwinghammer (PhD candidate at the COOL Lab, STEM Didactics)
  • Bahara Muradi (graduate student in Computer Science)
  • Christopher Frank (legal expert and head of the Working Group for Equal Opportunities and responsible for questions on the topic)

Presented by Andrea* Ida Malkah Klaura (software developer, techno-feminist, trainer).
