Symposium Art & Science

A symposium as part of our Sparkling Science project (funded by the Austrian Academic Exchange Service/ Austrian Ministry of Science, Education & Research)

Program Highlights:

  • Keynote speeches / speakers: Cathérine Conradty, Dorothea Hilliger, Julia Lauss
  • Interactive workshops featuring real-world examples demonstrating creative educational approaches at primary and secondary schools, as well as institutions of higher education
  • Share ideas and engage with educators, researchers, artists, and other interested parties

The symposium is geared towards educators*, researchers, students, artists, and anyone else who is curious about learning more about innovative educational approaches.

* Educators taking part in the symposium can earn continuing education credits (12 teaching units)!

As part of the Sparkling Science project at the “Circus of Knowledge”, we would like to extend an invitation to attend a unique symposium focusing on the compelling and intriguing relationship between science and art.

Join us and experience two inspirational days full of fascinating keynote speeches, hands-on workshops, and stimulating discussions.

We will explore how art-integrated educational approaches can foster creativity, motivation, and collaboration, and we will take a look at the potential of bringing art and science together.

Please note: Registering for the continuing education course is not a substitute for registering to attend the Art & Science symposium.

Dates: Thursday, February 27, and Friday, February 28, 2025 (you can also opt to take part on just one of the two days.)

Location: Circus of Knowledge, JKU Linz, Altenbergerstraße 69, 4040 Linz

There is no fee to take part in the symposium.  Funding is provided by the Austrian Academic Exchange Service/ Austrian Ministry of Education, Science & Research (OeAD/BMBWF) Sparkling Science project.
