Linz: the 2009 Capital of Culture, UNESCO Creative City, the opera house, Ars Electronica, theater and concerts ... Linz has long shed its "industrial" image and boasts over 51 parks and 700 hectares of forest and woodlands. Although Linz is even often referred to as one of Austria's greenest cities, Linz also continues to be one of the country's most important economic regions with direct exports in the billions, more job openings than residents, and a constant stream of new ideas. If that's not enough, in just an hour you can get to the beautiful mountain regions, lakes, to Vienna, or to Salzburg, and even neighboring countries such as Germany and the Czech Republic. The saying that almost anything is possible here rings true!
