Fees/Payment by Parents

Parents are subject to paying fees for child(ren) age 30 months or younger; once the child starts school (or the child does not have a primary residency in Upper Austria).

Mandatory Kindergarten Attendance

Kindergarten attendance is mandatory in Upper Austria and applies to all children who have main residency in Upper Austria, who have turned 5 before September 1 of that respective year, and are expected to begin school during the following year up until they begin school.
