JKU Researcher Elected First Female President of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Society

Prof. Cristina Olaverri-Monreal was elected first female president of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society.

Prof. Cristina Olaverri-Monreal, Chair for Sustainable Transport Logistics 4.0, has been elected the first female president of the globally active Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  The Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS) aims to advance the theoretical, experimental and operational aspects of electrical engineering and information technologies as applied to intelligent transportation systems (ITS), defined as those systems utilizing synergistic technologies and systems engineering concepts to develop and improve transportation systems of all kinds.
