We represent over 3,000 employees at the JKU to university management in matters of business, social, health and cultural affairs.
We represent all university personnel regardless of whether an employee is part-time or full-time, actively working at the university, or on leave, permanently or temporarily employed, or paid through external funds or through the global budget. We negotiate labor agreements and monitor compliance as well as compliance with corresponding laws. We also submit suggestions to improve working conditions and safety. In addition, we have a say in workplace design and many personnel issues (such as dismissal, transfer, ...). We must be informed by the employer in regards to all matters regarding an employee.
In order to fulfill our duties and responsibilities, we rely on the information that university employees provide us with!
