The main goal of the project CAPCOAT Plus is to increase the understanding of the fundamental effects at the plasma nozzle and of the processes on surfaces during plasma treatment. A correlation of the process parameters from the electrical excitation of the arc to the generation of cold-active plasma (CAP) and the formation of functional groups and coatings on the material surface shall be established. A further goal is the combination of cold-active plasma from liquids (and gas-liquid mixtures) with different precursor monomers to produce novel coatings and coatings with improved properties.
